About Menorca
The setting for your painting holiday
Menorca is the most easterly, second biggest and greenest of the Spanish Balearic Islands. It is not as mountainous as it's close neighbour, Mallorca, and is far less developed. It is an island rich in natural beauty and history, with more small hidden coves and beaches per square meter than anywhere else in Europe. It has a unique and addictive charm that brings people back year after year.

The southern coast is a series of low cliffs, broken by enchanting sandy coves. These are usually backed with evergreen woodland and lush gorges, which are full of flowers during the spring. The northern coast is more rugged, with spectacular headlands and a specialised coastal flora that benefits from the slightly more fertile top soil.
Menorca is a perfect painting destination that offers a whole range of subjects. From stunning coves and beaches to historical monuments, country settings and small traditional towns. Menorca always offers something to inspire.

Probably most important of all these days is the fact that Menorca is safe, with nearly a zero crime rate. Its clean streets are comfortable to walk through at any time of night and day.
